National Political Opinion / Re: 1.6 BILLION Rounds?
« on: January 01, 2013, 09:16:58 PM »
So all those Department of Homeland security employees that want millions of rounds are suddenly liberals. Just because a black progressive is President?
You crack me up.
No not every employee is.  But i bet that most of the people in charge are appointed by the President or his staff.  In a case like this i would be one that would like to be proved wrong in this situation.  Would you like to be proved wrong?  I bet not

Lets see emmanuel runs chicago i believe, and guns of any sort are banned in chicago.   Yet chicago has the highest murder rates in the country

3
I agree.   lack of funding did not stop him from shooting out the window to by-pass the security measure that was in place to keep him out.

Did this school have a lack in funding for security? But as you said he shoot out the windows to get in.  If someone is determined to kill they will.

4
I was wondering how long the right wingers would wait before they used a tragedy for political gain.
Cut funding? isn't that what the GOP wants to do?

Do you react this fast when they lefties take advantage of every shooting tragedy to try to impose anti gun laws?

Pete, i know you dont like the fact Obama has been re-elected, so am i.  But you cant blame everything that happens on him.  Unions have been doing this type of stuff way before Obama was around.  Granted he has a large Union support, but that doesnt mean he had anything to do with this.

6
Unions have a long history of intimdation against non union workers coming in to an area that affects them, wether it is due to bad wether or not.  The work that they crews do during and after a storm are not donated hours, people are being paid. There is alot of hours and overtime hours put in. So dont be so quick to believe a union wouldnt tell the non union to leave.

To me this show and shows like it, where you think you can find love are jokes and a total waste of time

Yes, you can decline to accept checks from someone.  One of the reasons I decided to post these was a request from local business to see who they needed to avoid.  Hopefully this has helped.

Mr. Smith is currently a guest of the county and soon to be a guest of the state for a very long time. I saw his name here in Kuwait and called back to make sure he was going away. I have been assured he is.

you have been doing this for awhile now, but it doesnt seem the list of bad check writers have gone down, i could be wrong, maybe its just a lot of new offenders, with a few repeat offenders in the mix.  Just by the amount you have each time, it doesnt look like the businesses are looking at this list.  I know you are doing your part to put a dent in the problem.  I dont know if its just that many people doing it on a regular basis or if there is a surge in bad check writing due to the economy.

9
Has anyone told the banks that this post exists, or any business for that matter.  Some names keep showing up over and over again for bad checks.  Now i dont know if its against the law to refuse a check from someone, i would hope not.  If not i would make a list of repeat offenders on this list so i wouldnt take checks from these people

Great, let's not educate our kids.  Let em be uneducated and continue to live at home playing xbox.

Racer i have no problem with our kids being educated, im all for that.  What im not all for, this trick of adding a tax, for the education of our children.  Look at all the money that is supposed to be going to the education for children from the lottery. That sure hasnt helped any.

Somebody wants to tax something, so they use words to affect the voters.. keywords for that are for the children, keep police and fire fighters on the job.  Funny thing is if those things dont pass, not one of the things they say will happen happen

Local News / Re: Devil's Elbow Post Office
« on: October 28, 2012, 09:38:28 AM »
You should show your support for the local post offices everywhere.  write your senators and congressmen to keep saturday delivery, post offices open etc.  The postal service management are making cuts to the people and office that actually provide service to you the customer.  Yet there are no cuts in upper levels of the postal system, no early retirements or job loses to those people that never touch a piece of mail in the delivery process.  They are trying to cut 9000 postmasters form the rolls, yet are hiring 1200 more upper management positions, does not make sense whatsoever

I will vote YES to Prop. B.

You failed to mention that carrying cigarettes or tobacco products across state lines is a misdemeanor and in some states a felony depending on the amount, of course MO doesn't care, nor those that sell tobacco.
I hope the increase will deter some people from smoking, I wish some of the money would go to research and to cover medical expenses for tobacco related illnesses.

Why should any of the money go to cover people medical expenses because they decided to start smoking, thats bs.  Other states have rasised taxes on cigerettes and it has little effect on people to stop smoking.

Im voting no for the simple fact that they are saying money is going to educatiion.  Im getting tired of more and more money being sent to education and education keeps getting worse.

National Political Opinion / Re: Clint Eastwood at the RNC convention

Finally, the president said something I completely agree with:

"If you didn’t DVR it, let me recap it for you. Everything is bad, it’s Obama’s fault, and Gov. Romney is the only one who knows the secret to creating jobs and growing the economy."

So apparently even the sitting president knows he has to go!

Doubt that was what he meant. But its basically the same thing he was saying when he was running against President Bush

Ignorance is in them being set free to prey on more children.  Molestation is molestation.  ANYONE can post their opinions on wikipedia.  and rape is rape, statutory or not.

so if you have one person that is 16(age of consent)and one 15 and they both consent to have sex (statutory rape, since one is underage) that that is the same as someone over the age of consent that has sex with a 5 yr old or someone that violently forces themselves on to someone is the same.  then you need to do some self evaulation.  It is not the same.

WOW!!!!!!!! I see the town of Crocker still has criminals. I did not realize with that small of a population there could be that many criminals in one town. It amazes me.
You need to wake up to the real world.  there is crime all over the place. even in smaller towns than crocker.  if it wasnt for this site most of us wouldnt know about this at all.

after working in restaurants for a few years and doing community ham and bean dinners and such.  the community events are much cleaner than most restaurants.  Do i think there should be guidelines yes, but if they get excessive you will lose these community fund raisers, which provide alot of help for others.

National News / Re: Don't Speak Out Against the Administration
« on: August 22, 2012, 05:43:24 PM »
You mention Northcom  which was started in 2002 under Bush. Where a lot these great (sarcasm) laws came from under Bush. Bush lite (Obama) is carrying on existing laws. That is the thing about power once they have it they don’t want to give it up. I have always thought that the DHS was out of line and given to much control. But back to the nutjob you don’t get to threaten people and have it as protected speech. Threating to kill someone is a crime. I agree that there are problems about detaining people for what they say but given what this guy wrote on a public site (mistake right there) he needs to be checked out. These people always kill the innocent. So if this guy killed some kids it would be ok because he was mad at the government and they were out to get him. Do you honestly think what that guy wrote is the writings of a reasonable sane person.
From what i heard today on the KC Radio station about this.  Yes he posted on Facebook(put on a public site), but that it was also a limited access facebook page, not just anyone was able to go to this facebook page.  So someone had to tell someone and so on done the line for it to come out.  I do believe he needed to be looked at..check into his actions and behaviour.. investigate and prove something.  I dont agree that they should have picked him up and committed him for evaluation, to me that is wrongful imprisonment.

23
The way he is looking away from the camera, i bet he cased the place before hand,  i would go back a few days or weeks to see if there is a better pic of him.

County Government Opinion / Re: 2012 Sheriff's Office Election
« on: August 15, 2012, 05:19:29 PM »
You missed the point. Most of the people on this site are a bunch of morons who have nothing better to do and they feel important because a county sheriff feels it is job to respond to morons.

No it is a sherrifs job to deal with the people he is sworn to protect, wether they are morons or not.  And since the term moron is subjective to who is using it.. I believe you above statement is moronic, thus making you one of the mass or morons on this site.  Wether you or not the questions being asked is important or not to you..that question is important to the one that is doing the asking.

Sneak Peek Sheriff's View / Re: Sneak Peek Sheriff's View
« on: August 13, 2012, 05:18:37 AM »
Why are people attacking a sheriff that isn't running again, and.......why does it matter who the sheriff uses for tows. He could do a Bid offer and the lowest bid get all the tows. Be glad you might get one. he is not a financial guru who makes sure everybody makes money. I think the office should take bids from companies and whoever Bids lowest get a contract from the county ...Period. End of arguments. then one company can make money off the county until the next year until bids are posted again. The county shouldnt have a list of rotation.....they should have one company like any other city with one low rate and go for the year that way. If you posted a bid to high....oh well, you dont get the contract. every agency should operate this way. why pay different costs when you can get one price and budget it into a line item.Theres no need for the sheriff to have to budget different prices. pick one company and contract them for the year.easy fix

I agree with you.  But easier said than done.  And there would still be alot of bitching going on.  How many vehicles are impounded during the year and why, is what im wondering.  The last accident i was in or when the vehicle stopped running, and a police official called for a wrecker I was asked for my preference and to what location i wanted it towed.

Local News / Re: Crocker....Rodeo.....Beer
« on: July 27, 2012, 06:56:11 AM »
I dont see the problem.......Every rodeo Ive ever been to had beer. Car races....Beer, State fair....Beer, Base ball....Beer.....Football...Beer.....resturant... Beer. Who cares. Its just Beer. If you dont want noe done buy none. If some one gets out of hand there will be someone there to take care of it. Watch the Rodeo and STFU.....lol

I dont personally have a problem with them selling beer.  Like you said its sold at other venues.  But, i think there should be a way to limit how much someone drinks.  For several reasons as hot as it has been, those drinking the beer can easily find themselves being dehydrated.  and my biggest concern is there are going to be a few that will overdo it.  and you know there will be drunk drivers out there.

Now as the son of an alcoholic, i do take offense with your comment "its just beer" My dad drove drunk, walked home drunk from work, thank god he didnt hit anyone while driving.  So to say its just beer is like comparing it to...oh it just like soda.  Yes i dont drink alcohol, because of seeing what it did to my dad, thats my choice, just like it is your choice to drink beer, i have no problem with your choice.  But remember when you drink you beer at an event your choice is now affecting someone else when you drive home

that could be so pete.  but i was hoping that since we have a prosecutor who actually prosecutes...might lead to a decline in crime
