You paid for the uneaten burgers?  It could have been rotten.

They had a "special ingredient." I do not think they were rotten.

I took my family there last night after my son's basketball game. The atmosphere was a nice sports bar theme. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. I was in the mood for a bottle of beer, but was told that they only served draft and cans.:(   We started off with appetizers. My daughter and I both ordered cups of chili. I ordered onion straws and 20 boneless wings. (10 spicy and 10 plain)
The chili was great and came with Jalapenos and cheese in it. On the downside, they had no crackers to put in it, just some flat bread. The onion straws were delicious and were gobbled up so fast that I was lucky to get a few to taste. The boneless hot wings were really good too. Just enough spiciness for me to enjoy, but mild enough for my son too. My kids and I ordered Houseburgers with fries and my wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken. Our burgers arrived not long after our appetizers were gone (Minus our toppings we ordered). We had to wait about 5 minutes for my wife's salad to appear.(We wondered why it took so long.) My wife enjoyed her salad, and my children and I loved the home style fries, but the burgers had an odd taste that I could not place. My kids took one or two bites of their burgers, expressed to me how much they disliked them, and asked if they could not eat them. (Not caring for the flavour myself I agreed.) We informed the waitress of our distaste for the burgers, and were told "I'm sorry." and nothing else. The prices were really fair for the amount of food you received, and the appetizers were all above average. The service could used some work in getting the meals out at the same time, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Overall it is a mixed review....   My family and I give it 3 out of five stars.

We thought about stopping there after my son's game, but was unsure if the atmosphere would be appropriate.

Breaking News / Re: Brookview On Fire Again.
« on: September 29, 2009, 04:21:18 PM »
The fatality is real. My article is posted below. HOWEVER ... as recently at 1 p.m., the Waynesville fire department was not releasing the name of the person who died and the Waynesville police weren't releasing it until shortly after noon. County Coroner Mikel Hartness has now confirmed that the next of kin has been notified.

The fires were in two completely unrelated buildings and have two completely unrelated causes -- a lightning strike last week Monday and an apparent smoking-in-bed situation today.

Brookview blaze kills Waynesville woman early Tuesday morning
WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (Sept. 29, 2009) — An early morning Tuesday fire sent emergency personnel to the Brookview Apartments for the second blaze in eight days, this time involving the death of a woman who lived in the bottom set of apartments closest to the apartment complex entrance. According to County Corner Mikel Hartness, next-of-kin have been notified that Jimmie L. Turk, 58, was pronounced dead at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. Waynesville Rural Fire Chief Doug Yurecko said she was transported from her apartment by Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel after having been found unconscious and unresponsive and suffering from severe smoke inhalation. “The damage was confined mostly to the bed; she fell asleep smoking,” Yurecko said. Tuesday morning’s fire had no connection to a Sept. 21 blaze caused by a lightning strike in the 300 block of apartments that also led to the evacuation of eight apartments but no injuries. But probably, my personal favorite Swayze movie was "Point Break."  Never fail to watch it when I come across it channel surfing!

Can't forget Next of Kin with Patrick, and Liam Neeson it was another good movie.

What a great movie..... the kid stars from that movie ended up doing pretty good for themselves (along with those in "The Outsiders").

Another great film!
