Law Enforcement/Economic Development Tax on Nov Ballot?

From Re: Separate Ballot Issue Petition
--- Quote from: Law101 on August 17, 2008, 10:08:00 PM --- "I would be the person to make the motion as neither one of the other two will.
Since the presiding doesn't want to go with the 1/2 cent I don't think putting anything else on the ballot will pass.
Some would be against it because it's a tax and others would be against it because it's not enough for LE.
I'm a firm believer that you don't put a tax on the citizens unless they have the chance to vote on it,
Should we just pass up this election and see who gets elected in November to the commission?" This is a quote from Bill Farnham. What is your opinion?

And I can't stress enough that the current money shouldn't be cut. It should increase as the counties budget increases.
Eeyore:
Yes, as the county grows, crime will grow, revenues will grow, and LE must grow as well!
Jax:
I am afraid that I don't know enough about the candidates for the commision and their opinions on the LE tax.
Can anyone provide the info so, I and others can form an informed opinion.

Mr. Farnham should make that motion at every meeting. Make the others reject it.
