Law Enforcement/Economic Development Tax on Nov Ballot?
HCC:
I mentioned on a different thread that the economic development initiative could be totally funded, via other mechanisms WITHOUT soliciting another sales tax from us. The law enforcement tax proposal should be and must be untainted or watered down for it to be a success. The solution to both initiatives are very simple to achieve for the betterment of this County. One would take a concerted effort to get voted in (if placed on the ballot) the other for economic growth would require mere cooperation with ALL county entities effected. Keeping the county commission out of the EC funding mix and letting the cities handle this initiative utilizing its strengths collectively will without a doubt generate interest in the industrial type growth that is needed for jobs, security and independence from Ft. Wood. But, law enforcement needs funding to help protect this initiative and investments.
