Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, Forget the ones who don't, and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Even though the story behind them is false, the cookies are truly awesome!

Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe

(Recipe may be halved):
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal**
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)

** Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.

If you like almond joy candy bars these are great

Almond Joy Cookies

2 Squares unsweetened
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 cn Sweetened condensed milk
1 pinch Salt
3 c Coconut flakes; sweetened
Almonds for garnish

Heat in a double boiler, 1 can sweetened condensed milk and 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate, until chocolate is melted. Stir until mixture is smooth. Pour over a bowl containing 3 cups of sweetened, flaked coconut. Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well until coconut is completely coated. Drop on a cookie sheet which is lined with parchment paper, by tspfuls. Press a whole almond into the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Check at 8 minutes, as bottoms of cookies brown quickly. Remove from oven, cool, remove from pan.
"Life should NOT be a  journey to the grave with the  intention of arriving  safely in  an attractive and well preserved body, but  rather to skid in   sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly  used up, totally worn  out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

My favorite cookie recipe is on the side of Funfetti cake mix...Pillsbury I think.
1 box of Funfetti cake mix...or cake mix of your choice, I like funfetti
2 eggs
2/3 cup of oil
mix together, roll into ball, flatten and bake.  They are so good...soft and chewy and nothing easier.
The former crew at Hibbett Sports used to ask for these weekly.
