Super Bowl Recipe
« on: January 25, 2009, 10:53:41 PM »
I was invited to a Super Bowl party and I want to bring something really good or creative. Does anyone have a crowd pleasing recipe? Someone else is bringing wings and velveeta /rotel dip.

You remind me of another recipe that I used to make called armadillo eggs . It was chicken , mon/jack cheese and a piece of jalapeno wrapped with bacon. They turn out about the size of an egg but you have to grill them slow so the chicken gets done and the cheese melts.

Taco Dip

1lb hambuger
1pk taco seasoning
1can refried beans
1 can chopped green chilies
1 small bottle taco sauce
1 container sour cream
shredded cheese

Brown the hambuger and drain the grease, add the refried beans and the taco seasoning heat till hot, layer1: put the meat mixture in a 9 x 11 cake pan (spread in out flat) Layer 2: Spread the sour cream, green chilies, and taco sauce over the meat, top with shredded cheese Bake at 350. till the cheese is bubblely. Serve with corn chips (I use the mission chips)

This will be gone before you know it.  Really, really good.

:) That taco dip sounded so good that I bought the stuff to make it today. I'll let you know how it turns out . Instead of Super bowl dip we're going   to call it Storm Dip.  :)

Other goods wrapped in bacon - shrimp and scallops.  Add a small chunk of cheese and or green pepper, skewer individually on toothpicks and broil till sizzlin.
