WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (Sept. 15, 2009) — A single-vehicle crash Monday evening near the Gasconade River Bridge between Crocker and Waynesville caused minor damage to the vehicle and minor injuries to two of its occupants, but a head-on wreck south of Fort Leonard Wood early Tuesday morning caused extensive damage to both vehicles. State troopers reported that Eric H. Vorum, 29, of Crocker, had been northbound on Highway 17 about three miles north of Waynesville when his 2005 Dodge ran off the right side of the roadway at 5:40 p.m. Vorum overcorrected, continued off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. On Tuesday morning, Julie M. Wright, 44, of Plato, had been southbound on Palace Road in Texas County about a quarter-mile north of Evening Shade at 7:08 a.m. when her 2001 Ford Mustang met a northbound 1999 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Tyler E. Williams, 18, of also of Plato, in a curve and the two vehicles hit head-on in the center of the road, causing minor injuries to Wright, Williams, and Williams’ passenger, Ariana F. Woods, 17, of Roby. Click here to read more on Pulaski County Daily News ...
