  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous...

They also do catering. They catered my wedding reception with a roast pig and everything. It was amazing. I received so many compliments and the price was so much less than I expected. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a no hassle caterer.  ;D

I wonder if they will be outside in the parking lot like when they started at the old PX...

My brother in law and sister came down her a few years ago.  They had come through St. Louis and had eaten ribs at a place that was called something like America's Best Ribs.  I took them to Sweetwater.  He said the place in St. Louis needed to change their name.  That Sweetwater had the best ribs he had ever tasted.  Now keep in mind he was a biker, president of the BMW riders of America, and had been in every state plus Canada on his bike.  So he has eaten a lot of different ribs.  HE LOVED SWEETWATER   My brother in law died two months after coming down here, so he never got to eat them again but my sister said he told her a couple times "wish I had some of those ribs."  I like them too but I'm not crazy about their sides.

When they catered for you, did they supply the utensils and some type of drink, like tea or something?  We are thinking about using them for an event in the near future.  I was just curious.

I remember they did supply utensils. But I can't remember if we got tea or anything else to drink or not... but I do remember it was an option. The also give you the option to have them stay and serve the food, which was such a big help. Plus we had so much left over we had to send stuff home with people. Good luck on your event and I'm sure you'll be as satisfied with their product and service as we were.

Has Sweetwater changed hands ? The last 3 times we have eaten there the food was awfull. The last brisket we got was just one large piece of fat. I used to love their food but not now.

Ive bought dinner for the family there a couple of time over the last two weeks, the meat has always been great. As has the cole slaw, cabbage and beans. The potatoe salad was great the first time second time not so great(potatoes were not fully cooked)

And the one thing they i didnt understand was there sunday special.  It was marked that they also had sliced brisket, cabbage, sweet potatoes, and a couple of other items.  When i placed my order with one gal i got the cabbage as a side with wifes dinner. Another gal was taking orders from other people and wouldnt give them the cabbage as a side. Said the only way to get it was with the sunday special.  The way the board was written i thought these were just extra items you could get, not that it was a sunday special.
But, still one of the best bbq places around
