Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous...

I can though I eat here everyday and if you ever want a good breakfast eat here.  They have a breakfast special that is really good....bacon or sausage, hasbrowns, eggs, buscuit or toast all for $2.99 from  6-11...It is so good...of course they serve breakfast all the time but to get the special you must get there early...They have luncheon home cooked meals specials that are really good.....can you tell I eat there alot....it is good though...

this place is by far the slowest place in town to eat, we were there Sunday morning and took 10 min to take our order, then 40 minutes later we asked and she told us they just dropped our order, so needless to say we left, and this is not the first time it has happen, I know our group will never go back there again.

All I can say is that during the week MOnday through Friday the main cook and main waitresses are working....any other time they have substitutes just like any other restuarant....I will report this to the main boss though and see what can be fixed about this problem......I would not have waited either.....

What the hell is going on at The Star???  It is our favorite place to eat breakfast on the weekends, and for the last two weeks, we have driven there, only to have to turn around and eat somewhere else.  Plus a couple weekends before this, they locked the doors early, with customers still sitting in there eating, and my husband and his buddies couldn't get in to eat.

And of course, I can't forget Betty and Gail, both of whom I assume depend on their hours and tips from waitressing there to survive.  So I have to ask, why the unpredictability???  Will this be fixed soon?

I think the pipe to the coffee maker broke and flooded the place on Sunday.   They told at 8:15 news cast, this morning, but I missed the day.

They have made the motel room next to the Star into a non smoking area.  (knocked out the wall and put in a door) It is a good idea but it is so stuffy in there and smells like an old hotel room.  I think they should move the smokers in there as they wouldn't notice the stuffy smell because of the cigarette smoke,  and let the non smokers sit in the big area.

then you would gripe because you could still smell the smoke in that area.

It would be hard to get the smell of YEARS of smoke out of that room.

You see, that is what is wrong when people assume something about someone else that they don't know.  No actually the smell in the restaurant doesn't bother me unless there are people smoking right next to me.  In fact if I go back I will probably sit in the smoking area (in the corner)  it smells a lot better in there.  The non smoking room smells like a musty old hotel room, who knows what has gone on in there.  But if you are not a smoker and smoke bothers you wouldn't it make more sense for them to put the smokers off in a seperate room so that people who are allergic to smoke wouldn't have to walk right through it to get to their table.

I agree...and I am a smoker. It smells horrible when you walk in.
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, Forget the ones who don't, and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I just meant that after all these years of being smoked in, no matter what they did, it would still smell of smoke. talk about making assumptions.

I just think they should put the smokers in the smaller room.

Ate there tonight. I ordered the Ribeye 8 oz for $9.95, well, I am here to tell you it was 14 oz atleast if not 16. Wonderfulllly cooked, came with corn, texas toast and mashed potatoes. Kelly had the Special pork chops and loved it. We walked out for 20 bucks stuffed to the gills. I highly reccommend this restaurant.

I have to agree the food is good, pork chops are great, but, the place looks dirty.  The carpet is awful and just gives the place a very unsanitary look.  I usually get my food to go.

Foods Good but if you Go the same time as the 2 old ladies who smoke like freight trains its impossible to be comfortable. Last 3 times we went the same 2 older ladies were smoking like they were getting oxygen off a cigarette...It was impossible to breathe and made Me miserable. Im not against smoking, But theres a limit.

They did try to give people a place to eat with no smoke but , it smells like a musty hotel room, which is what it used to be.  Not a pleasant place to eat and we went in there this summer and the flies were overtaking the place.  There was enough of them on one of the tables that if they all took off at once they could take the table with  them.
